Your body weight should now be forward, so that as you continue to lean forward more, your buttocks will rise out of the seat and you can straighten your legs, until you are in a standing position.
Motorized chairs can be rented through Medicare. After you have paid your deductible, you can rent the mobility device for ten months. As of the ninth month, you will be sent an option to purchase your wheel chair. If you choose to purchase the wheel chair, Medicare will make three more monthly payments on the device, and then it is yours to keep. You will also be responsible for maintenance, but Medicare will pay eighty percent of these fees. If you do not wish to purchase your mobility device, Medicare will make fifteen payments in all, and your device is yours as long as you need it. You must pay a maintenance fee every six months, eighty percent of which is covered by Medicare.
Task chairs - these are the normal everyday office furniture chairs that most people use at home. These can be very cheap, acquired at your local discount store for under $30, or can be ten times this amount for a good one that will last awhile. These can be cloth, leather (real or fake) or made of other man made materials. Many will have ergonomic features such as lumbar support, and are also adjustable in multiple ways. Most of us can find a task chair that will suit our daily use, you just have to take the time to try out a fair number of them to discover what will work best for you.
